We had an amazing stay at Out of the Blue! Everybody we met was so welcoming, and we absolutely loved all of the staff. The hostel itself is super cute and the (free!!) breakfast is AMAZING! This was the perfect place to explore the island and we were so sad to leave— even more sad than we were about leaving the island. Best hostel ever!

Can’t recommend this place more! Starting with the staff, everyone is so friendly, helpful, and hardworking. The facility itself is wonderful and the outdoor area is just beautiful and such a great vibe. The breakfast is included and amazing. Stayed here for my first ever solo trip and met all kinds of great people of different ages and backgrounds.

It's a very unique hotel, different from other hotels; you feel right at home. The rooms are very spacious and have direct access to the garden, which is absolutely charming. The breakfast was unbeatable and the staff were wonderful. We'll definitely be back if we return to the Azores. Oh, and it has a kitchen with all the amenities you need if you want to cook there.

Definitely one of the best hostels I have stayed in so far. The breakfast was very adequate with dietary requirements taken into account. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and tidy. There is enough space under the bed to store even a large suitcase. Each bed had its own light and power socket. The hostel also offers daily excursions, which are highly recommended if you don't want to rent a car.

Had to come back to this hostel because I loved it so much when I came in 2020 and it didn't disappoint! Big love to all the staff that made the visit so enjoyable. They really made us feel like a family, all sitting around singing songs, eating and drinking together, honestly such great memories. The hostel was spotless and looked amazing thanks to the lovely cleaning staff. They were all so friendly and helpful and the beds were so comfy and fresh! Would give more stars if I could, this hostel was so good that, despite having travelled all over the world, I'd come back here first! São Miguel is so beautiful and life in Out of the Blue is the best!

I stayed at Out of the Blue and couldn’t be happier with my experience! The private rooms are incredible - beautifully kept, comfortable, and always fresh and clean. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming and made my stay even better. Honestly, my only complaint is that I didn’t stay longer. I can’t recommend this hostel enough and would absolutely stay here again!

The best hostel I've stayed in so far, and I've been to quite a few. Super friendly staff. Always helpful and open. Everything was very clean and tidy. The beds were made every day (I've never experienced that in a hostel before). I would definitely come back and can only recommend it. Thank you very much for the lovely stay.

I knew I was staying one night but plans changed and I lived there for two weeks typically extending 2 days at a time! Super clean and comfortable the staff became family quickly and made me feel at home-which was awesome cause I’m houseless now! The food is delicious and always served with care. Plus the daily tours they offer are amazing! Obrigada!

We had a lovely stay, and spent a lot of time in the lovely outdoor garden/bar/restaurant area which had excellent food (and was also where a 10/10 breakfast was served every morning). We also enjoyed the hostel-run tour that we went on to visit a tea plantation, hot springs, and a botanical garden (the tours are different every day, I wish I had time to do more of them). Everyone else at the hostel was very friendly and down-to-earth, both guests and staff, and even in our short time there we met a few people to hang out & explore the island with. If I am ever back in the Azores I will 100% stay here again, highly recommend!

A beautiful and colourful hostel located in an old two-storey building in the centre of Ponta Delgada. The orange colour predominates in the rooms and other interior areas, with original architectural features such as the ceilings. There are double rooms with private bathrooms and also dormitories. Relaxed garden, where meals from the small restaurant are served, and an indoor bar with a communal table; there is a kitchen area where you can prepare meals, and coffee and tea are always available. There is a small swimming pool in the garden, open all year round. Very friendly and helpful staff (some local Portuguese, others foreign). 5-star cleanliness.

My friend recommend me this place and it was the best choice I made. The hostel is amazing, it has lovely garden, living room and enough toilets and showers. Also they organize tours around the island where they really show you the beauty of the Island and its history.
The best thing about hostel is the staff. They really take care of their guests and try to make the most of your stay. Also they have amazing cleaning staff!!! Every time when I would come back the toilets, beds and the rooms would be spotless. If you’re looking for a hostel where you arrive as a guest and leave as part of the family, this is the place. Warning - you may end up extending your stay or never wanting to leave.
