Climate change is reshaping how we travel, looking for more climate-friendly destinations. But is there a place worth visiting all-year-round?

Coolcations in the Azores

More and more Travellers are escaping extreme heat waves taking place across the globe. Spain, Italy, Athens and France became unbearable due to the temperatures during the summer months turning our long-awaited holidays into a "hot issue".

Worth mentioning is that the Azores are a perfect destination during the whole year. Our weather climate is mild and allow you to reconnect with the Mother Nature anytime. So called "winter time" is perfect for hiking trails, exploring the jungle and enjoying tranquillity of nature.

In 2025 many Travellers decided to escape heat waves by heading to Scandinavian countries, however the Azores are a few times cheaper allowing you not only to save your budget but also experience much more during your visit. With plenty of direct flights reaching the islands, it's one of the best travel destinations - a true European paradise.

Apart from ample hiking trails there is a bunch of coolcation activities, such as whale and dolphin watching, canyoning, snorkelling, surfing and at the end of the day: hot springs break to fully relax!

Fortunately, in the Azores we have milder summer weather with temperatures ranging between 22°C-25°C creating a great blend between beach time as well as hiking escapades! And those are spectacular thanks to breath-taking natural surroundings :)

The Azores are also recognised as one of the most sustainable tourist destinations in Europe, scoring 8.9 out of 10 possible points. Being called the "green paradise", the Azores are a model of eco-conscious travel, focused on preserving its natural heritage for future generations.
